The silver pendant of a scholar is double sided and an antique silver needle case, it is suspended from a triangular Bat pendant made using the repoussé technique which gives it a wonderful depth. There are 3 bells on this necklace which along with the Bat are meant to bring good luck. The Chinese turquoise is gorgeous, saturated in color shot through with black matrix, there are gorgeous Chinese Red Coral beads, petrified bone, and silver details. Like most antique Chinese jewels, this necklace is incredible with so much detail you will never tire of admiring it. Circa 1900.

This wonderful Chinese necklace dates to the Qing Dynasty, China's final imperial dynasty.

Details.....The necklace is 26" long. The pendant drops 5.13" from the chain, the bat measures 2.25" wide The bell side dangles are 3.02" long.  In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on antique and vintage jewelry, we consider it part of the charm.
